Studying the Database Analyst program will provide you with the skills that you can take into many different roles. Some roles you could consider after your finish the program include:
Database Administrator: These people are responsible for building computer systems that can store data securely. They then monitor the performance and integrity of the system.
Data Analyst: Otherwise known as Data Modelers, these analysts are responsible for maintaining, organizing and interpreting data in different technology systems.
Data Conversion Analyst: A Data Conversion Analyst focuses on database management systems. The responsibilities of this role include determining the specifications needed to transfer data from one format to another, testing the conversion process to ensure that data is corruption-free, and providing resolutions to any errors or issues that may occur.
Data Migration Specialist: A Data Migration Specialist migrates data from an old application to a new one or to an entirely different platform. Data migration specialists plan, implement, and manage varying forms of data for organizations.
Data Architect: A Data Architect is responsible for visualizing and designing an organization's enterprise data management framework. Their duties also include creating database solutions, evaluating requirements, and preparing design reports.
Database Developer: Database Developers use computer software to organize and save data. Their key responsibilities include determining users' needs, ensuring the security of information, monitoring database performance, and providing support.
Technical Architect: This person supervises an organizations’ IT architecture while also helping to plan, design and build IT systems.
The average Database Developer salary in Canada is $80,000 per year or $41.03 per hour.
Entry level positions start at $64,923 per year while most experienced workers make up to $119,213 per year.
Have a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent or be at least 19 years of age
Students are required to bring their own computers to class
Applicant must attain one of the following English language requirements:
Successful completion of CCTB EAP Level 4
Have the required IELTS 5.5 score or equivalent
Pass the CCTB English Assessment (written onsite or online with exam proctor)

Government student loans are available to residents of Canada who demonstrate financial need. The Federal and Provincial governments will pay the interest of the loan while the student attends school on a full-time basis. However, repayment of the loan will commence six months after studies end.
